A True Paradise In Chiang Mai

Having been to dozens of countries around the world, I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels, hostels, bungalows, etc. None of them compared to the sheer beauty and class that Tamarind Village offered. Tucked away in the Old City of Chiang Mai, this 4-star hotel has much to offer for travelers who want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and lay down to rejuvenate their bodies. Take a step into my experience at this remarkable getaway.

Tamarind Village was a name that reappeared numerous times as I searched for what would be my lodging arrangements in Chiang Mai, Thailand. After doing my normal due diligence of the top rated hotels and hostels in the area, I narrowed it down to a select few, and I did some more thorough research on them, gathering data from many different places. Ultimately, Tamarind Village made its way to the top of my list. The moment I stepped foot on the property, I was greeted as if somebody had informed the staff that I was arriving. Before I even said my name they welcomed me, “Good evening Mr. Bell, welcome to Tamarind Village.” It was incredible way to walk into a hotel.

My first night in the hotel was nothing short of perfect. The room was impeccably clean, the bed was extremely comfortable (seriously…it was REALLY comfortable), and the shower was like a waterfall. The picture below is exactly what I saw when I entered my room.

My first full day in the city, I decided to sleep in and visit the hotel restaurant for breakfast. I was astonished when I saw the spread and variety of foods available. There was a plethora of fruits available, all of which were fresh and juicy including my favorite, passion fruit. Set-up directly beside that spread was a personal chef. He offered to make pancakes, waffles, eggs any way, and anything else that you could think of using the ingredients he had at his disposal. The food was immaculate.

Some last tidbits about the hotel. It has communication with vendors in the area for some specific excursions and adventures such as visiting elephant sanctuaries. All I needed to do was speak with the front desk and inform them what I wanted to do, and they took care of the rest. I informed them as late as 10:30pm for a trip that departed at 7am and they nailed it. The hotel has numerous types of suites available, so that your needs can be met no matter what the occasion. Lastly, the hotel also offers full spa services, including massages!

If you are planning to visit Chaing Mai and want to take an actual break for some R&R on your adventure, Tamarind Village is the place to do it.
